In The NewsMake a Difference This Holiday SeasonPosted on 09/21/2011Would you prefer the holidays have less emphasis on material gift giving and spending? 70% of Americans would according to a recent survey by the national non-profit, the Center for a New American Dream. If you agree, then visit Lancaster's 4th annual Alternative Gift Fair for opportunities to give back to the larger community. Instead of purchasing traditional gifts, honor your friends and family by stopping by Tabor's table and making meaningful donations that will benefit Tabor's clients. Gifts available to help Tabor's clients are one financial literacy class, one hour of life skills counseling and one hour of budget counseling. The fair will also feature a wonderful blend of food and beverages from Rachel's Creperie, Cafe Chocolate, Upohar Cuisine (Iraqui and Nepali), Rafiki African Cuisine and Tortina Bakery. Sunday, November 20, 10am-4pm For more information contact Phyllis at pstacks@tabornet.org |
